Our vision: A future in which there is equality of access to justice, and women and children are free from domestic and family violence.
Our purposes: Providing equitable and accessible legal services to our community and empowering women and children to break the cycle of domestic and family violence.
We started as a small community legal centre in 1986, to help local people access justice. Now we are one of the larger domestic and family violence services in NSW, with over 50 staff.
In 2020-21, we supported nearly 8,000 women with our domestic and family violence services.
We provide a range of services and are supported by a committed team with diverse expertise:
- legal services
- community legal education
- domestic and family violence services (including support, court advocacy, case management and financial counselling) for women and children.
We provide services to people living or working in the local government areas of Liverpool, Fairfield and Canterbury-Bankstown. We now also deliver some services in the Eastern Suburbs, Sydney City, and the Inner West.
