The Family Relationship Centre (FRC) Legal Support Service is designed to keep parenting disputes out of court and instead resolve them through mediation in a community setting.
Family Relationship Centres are a network of government funded organisations designed as a source of information, advice and assistance for Australian families. They also help people to reach agreement on parenting matters without going to court.
The solicitor employed by SWSLC to work with Bankstown and Fairfield Family Relationship Centres assists FRC clients to come to legally binding arrangements regarding their children. The solicitor provides legally assisted mediation, as well as giving face-to-face legal advice to FRC clients and delivering legal information sessions.
