Who we are

The Bankstown Domestic Violence Service (BDVS) provides integrated case management services to people affected by Domestic and Family Violence in the Bankstown Local Government Area.  BDVS is auspiced by South West Sydney Legal Centre. 

South West Sydney Legal Centre is a not-for-profit organisation, delivering innovative, multi-disciplinary and diverse strategies aimed towards facilitating access to justice in our local communities.  We provide a friendly work environment, access to training opportunities and generous above award conditions. 

About the Position

We are seeking a caseworker to join our team. Applicants should have a commitment to empowering and supporting adults and children affected by domestic and family violence, and be able to demonstrate experience in this area. 

  • This position is open to female applicants only. SWSLC considers being a woman is a genuine occupational qualification for this position under s. 31 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW)
  • The successful applicants must be willing to undertake a Working with Children Criminal Record check
  • Applicants should hold a current NSW driver’s licence and have access to a comprehensively insured vehicle for work purposes
  • Proficiency in the Arabic language is highly desirable
